1 killed, 5 hurt in weekend Bryan crash

BRYAN, TX - Bryan police report one person was killed and five injured in an early Saturday morning traffic crash.

Police say it was about 2:35 a.m. when a Nissan Cube carrying four people was northbound in the 3800 block of South Texas Avenue when a Hyundai Sonata going south crossed the center line colliding with the Cube.

All four occupants of the Cube were taken to CHI St Joseph Hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger in the Hyundai, identified as 28-year-old Victoria Danielle McGowan of Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of Hyundai was treated and released at CHI St Joseph.

Bryan police say that the accident remains under investigation with the Traffic Safety Unit, Criminal Investigation Division and Crime Scene Unit all involved.
