CAMERON, TX - Milam County deputies have seized over $830,000 in cash and weapons and have taken one man into custody after stopping to check on a vehicle stopped in the middle of a roadway.
It was early Monday morning when deputies were called about the vehicle being out in the middle of FM1712.
When deputies arrived they found Rockdale resident Rock C. Eanes passed out behind the wheel.
Deputies took Eanes into custody for driving while intoxicated, but when they inventoried the vehicle they found a large amount of cash as well as numerous pieces of gambling equipment and two firearms.
Deputies initially added a charge of unlawfully carrying a firearm to the DWI charge, but say the investigation is on going and additional charges could be filed.
