AT&T responds to lawsuit

WACO, Texas - AT&T is responding to the million dollar lawsuit filed against them by the family of Kenneth Cleveland.

Cleveland was the AT&T technician killed on the job on April 22, 2016. Police found his body in an alley near the intersection of Barron and Novelty.

AT&T's statement says in part:

"Kenny's death was tragic and our thoughts remain with his family. The safety and welfare of our employees is of paramount concern to us. We have assisted the authorities with their investigation and have offered a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible."

In the lawsuit, Cleveland's family says the company failed to keep him safe and did not check on him even though his supervisors knew the area was dangerous.
