WACO, TX - Baylor University has announced that based on strong demand among prospective students that it is putting in place a waiting list for its 2018 fall freshman class.
Baylor's fall 2017 freshman class included 3,320 students and the university is projecting a slightly larger fall freshman enrollment for fall 2018.
“We are really excited about this year’s incoming class, which is shaping up to be one of the most academically qualified classes Baylor has enrolled,” said Jennifer Carron, associate vice president for enrollment management.
“Today’s prospective students are attracted to the many academic and social opportunities Baylor provides as a Christian research university, but they also appreciate the family atmosphere and the personal attention from our faculty and staff.”
The announcement comes in advance of Baylor's Premiere Weekend April 7 for both high school seniors and juniors, in which prospective students and their families can explore campus, meet with admissions and financial aid representatives, interact with faculty and experience college life in person.
