Be a part of Hotline Advocate

WACO, Texas - If you want to lend a helping hand to survivors of sexual assault, The Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children is here to help.

The Center is currently accepting applications for Hotline Advocate.

All volunteers will carry a cell phone to answer the 24/7 crisis hotline and respond to local hospitals to provide compassion, emotional support and advocacy for sexual assault survivors.

Individuals who are interested must be at least 18 years of age and pass federal, state and local background checks. They must also complete a free 40-hour training course.

The mandatory training dates are listed below:

  • Monday, February 12th 5:30pm – 9:00pm
  • Wednesday, February 14th 5:30pm – 9:00pm
  • Tuesday, February 20th 5:30pm – 9:00pm
  • Thursday, February 22nd 5:30pm – 9:00pm
  • Saturday, February 24th 8:30am – 12:00pm
