COPPERAS COVE, TX - Harker Heights police have arrested a man and charged him with failing to stop and render aid in a fatal auto-pedestrian accident in 2016.
Richard Anthony Salinas, 36 was arrested at his home in Copperas Cove Friday afternoon.
On August 19 th, 2016 Harker Heights Police and EMS services responded to the 600 block of East Central Texas Expressway in reference to the traffic collision involving a pedestrian.
The vehicle failed to stop and render aid and fled the scene of the crash.
A juvenile male who was the victim of the traffic collision, was transported by Harker Heights EMS to Scott and White hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Salinas, was arraigned Saturday morning by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke with a bond set at $1,000,000.00.
