Former Twin Peaks biker court case dropped

WACO, Texas - The State has agreed to dismiss former Twin Peaks biker Burton George Bergman's charge with prejudice on January 11, after he called the State's bluff and turned down a misdemeanor plea offer.

The State waited until Monday, March 12, to file this motion, and Judge Johnson immediately dismissed the case. Since the case against Bergman was dismissed with prejudice, it can never again be pursued.

The State's motion includes self-serving language claiming it believed probable cause existed for the prosecution in the first place. This was done in an effort to protect various parties from civil liability.
