HARKER HEIGHTS,TX - Harker Heights police are trying to track the person who called in a bomb threat to the Sams Club store in that city Wednesday morning.
Employees and customers were allowed back in the building and it was reopened for business at 12:25 p.m. after a search of the store by officers aided by a specially trained K-9 turned up nothing.
Harker Heights police spokesman Sergeant Stephen Miller said an employee got a phone call from an unidentified person who said a bomb had been placed in the building.
Miller said police were notified at 11:23 a.m., the special K-9 from the Killeen Police Department was brought in at 11:38, the store was declared clear at 12:24 and the store officially re-opened at 12:25 p.m.
