Indictment in Christmas Eve hit & run

WACO, TX - A McLennan County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against a Waco man in connection with a Christmas Eve deadly hit and run accident.

Randall Bryant Worley was indicted on charges of failure to stop and render aid in the crash that left 59-year-old Kevin Barry McAndrew.

The victim was hit by a 2006 Lexus as he tried to pick up some items from the roadway in the 600 block of Hewitt Drive.

He had just pulled out of the Walmart parking lot, realized he had left some items on the top of his car and pulled over shoulder to get out and pick them up.

Investigators say that Worley initially left the scene but came back later.

As detectives developed their case, they obtained a warrant for Worley who then turned himself in.
