Magic Money at the H.O.T. Fair and Rodeo

How helpful are these wristbands?

WACO, Texas - If you haven't already been to the Heart O' Texas Fair and Rodeo, there seems to be some confusion regarding the Magic Money Bands for sale.

The Fair and Rodeo is trying something new with the wristbands. They are a new, innovative way for people to purchase food and to go on rides - but a lot of people didn't realize the band themselves actually cost money, and they are not getting the ticket amount they thought they were paying for.

"When you purchase your first Magic Money Band, there is a $2 fee that's kind of attached to it," says Charva Ingram, H.O.T. Fair and Rodeo Vice President of Marketing and Sponsorship Development. "So if you buy a $10 band, then there's eight credits in it. Once you've bought that initial band, then you don't have to do that anymore. It's a little bit of an operation fee that's tied in there to help cover the cost of all that stuff that's going on."

Overall, she says its been a great trackable system.

If you have any questions, you can go to any of the Magic Money Band booths around the fair.
