Restaurant owner, former sheriff's deputy charged with prostitution

WACO, Texas - A former sheriff's deputy, as well as a Waco barbecue restaurant owner, were arrested on Wednesday afternoon.

Uncle Dan's BBQ owner Daniel Henderson and former deputy Stephen Johnson are both charged with prostitution.

Johnson previously resigned from the McLennan County Sheriff's Office in 2017 after he was seen in a video from a massage parlor involved in an undercover sex sting.

Henderson and Johnson were taken to the McLennan County Jail, but were both bonded out Wednesday night on $1,000 each.

In a recent interview with the Waco Independent School District, Henderson was quoted as saying, "Some of the things you really want to look for [when opening your own business] - have the proper training, you want to make sure of what your costs are when you open up your business, you want to make sure you follow all the regulatory regulations for the city, the county, the state, and the federal government. Because there's a whole slew of government entities that come into play when owning a small business that you're gonna need to be aware of."
