Temple police investigate kidnapping

TEMPLE, TX - Temple police are investigating a Saturday night incident in which a teen was forced into a car at gunpoint.

Police say at 10:42 p.m. an officer was parked in the parking lot of ths Stratford House at 1912 South 31st when a vehicle pulled into the parking lot next to him.

The driver told the officers that the teens who were in his back seat saw one of their friends at Sam's Club taken against his will.

The witnesses told police they were waling toward the stairway between Sam's Club and Walmart when a dark blue Chevrolet Malibu pulled in front of them and a man got out of the car with a gun and told their friend to get into his car.

He complied and was driven off toward Academy.

About 11:30 p.m. as officers were searching the area for the suspect's vehicle,  the dispatcher told them teh victim's aunt had the child and was taking him to the police station.

The victim told police that the man who took him thought he had something to do with the theft of a vehicle, but he was finally able to convince him that he had no idea what he was talking about.

The victim was then dropped off by the Wells Fargo Bank on South 31st Street.

Police are considering the case active and are looking for the victim's abductor.
