Veteran's cemetery to see improvements

KILLEEN, TX - The Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration has announced that it has awarded the State of Texas a grant of nearly two-million dollars for the improvement of the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

The grant funds improvements to the irrigation system and perimeter fencing.

The project will cover 10 acres and serve 148,000 Veterans and their families.

The existing cemetery is six miles south of the town center on State Highway 195, on 174 acres.
