UPDATE: Double murder suspect charged with capital murder

TEMPLE, TX - UPDATE: 47-year-old Theodore Dwayne Sims has now been charged with capital murder.

Sims is still being held in the Bell County Jail with his bond set at $500,000 on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with an incident that occurred earlier in the evening at the NAPA Auto Parts store in Belton.

Temple police Friday morning confirmed that two men found dead in the O'Reilly Auto Parts store  Wednesday night were indeed employees of the store.

They were 25-year-old Cody Glenn Cornell and 35-year-old Robert Joseph Pellerin III.

Their bodies had been sent to the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas for autopsies.

A suspect in their deaths was arrested in Harker Heights Thursday afternoon.

Forty-seven-year old Theodore Dwayne Sims is being held in the Bell County Jail with his bond set at a half-million dollars on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with an incident that occurred earlier in the evening at the NAPA Auto Parts store in Belton.

SIms was accused of entering the store brandishing a shotgun, but left without firing a shot when the employees fled.

Charges in connection with the Temple incident were pending Friday morning.

Pictures of Sims and his car were put out Thursday morning and he was spotted at the gas station at the Harker Heights Walmart store where he was arrested at 2:19 p.m.

Texas Rangers are assisting Temple Police in investigating the deaths of Pellerin and Cornell.
