Woman arrested in Dollar General robbery

TEMPLE, TX - A 24-year-old Temple woman has been arrested and booked into the Bell County jail shortly after a Dollar General Store was robbed.

Michelle Madison Bearden was tracked by a K-9 team into a wooded area near the store.

Police got the 9-1-1 call about the robbery of the Dollar General at 4803 South 31st street at 9:46 p.m.

Patrol units arrived on the scene less than a minute after the call went out and set up a perimeter around the business.

Once the perimeter was set,  the K-9 went to work tracking south of the store into the woods where the woman was found.

Police say they found a quantity of money believed taken from the store nearby.

The K-9 led officers to a toy gun believed used in the robbery.
