Waco, TX - The Bears took a tie game to the 8th inning against Sam Houston State, before the Bearkats struck for 5 runs in the final two frames to take the 7-2 victory.
The Bears scored a pair of runs in the 3rd without recording a hit to take a 2-0 lead. The Bearkats came right back in the top of the 4th with a pair of runs of their own.
Baylor collected their first hit of the game in the 6th inning when Andy Thomas doubled down the left field line, but the Bears were unable to do anything with it.
Ryan Leckich took the loss for Baylor allowing 3 runs on two hits without recording an out, as Sam Houston State left town.
Baylor will get back in action, on Friday, when they host 6th ranked Texas Tech at Baylor Ballpark.
