Lubbock, Texas - The Baylor Women's Basketball team carries nine players, including four freshmen, three sophomores, one junior and one senior. Yesterday, underclassmen Juicy Landrum and Moon Ursin racked up their fair share of minutes against Texas Tech.
"Moon did great, she hit a big 3 there, she ran the floor, she has tremendous speed and quickness," Kim Mulkey said.
Freshman Moon Ursin scored 7 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and made her only 3 point shot attempt. Sophomore Juicy Landrum made a statement in Lubbock, putting up career numbers in her first start at Baylor.
"Coach says when you have an opportunity, take advantage of it, and that's what I did today," Juicy Landrum said.
Landrum caught fire right from the start, making her first 8 shot attempts. She finished with 20 points, which included 4-6 from the 3 point range. The sophomore also had 9 rebounds, all on defense, in addition to 1 steal and 4 assists.
