McLennan Baseball has been disqualified from the Region V Tournament after an altercation with Cisco College.
A fight broke out in the sixth inning of their baseball game, and they deliberated for about an hour before deciding both teams would forfeit the game.
McLennan released a statement late Monday night, reading:
"After an incident between the McLennan and Cisco baseball teams during the Region V Baseball Championship Monday evening, the NJCAA National Office declared the game a double forfeit. NJCAA Officials are set to make an announcement tomorrow concerning the regional representative for the JUCO World Series. At the time the incident occurred, McLennan was leading Cisco 11-9 in the sixth inning."
