UMHB Women's Golf Finishes in 5th at Westbrook Village Invitational

PEORIA, Arizona - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team dropped one spot in the team standings on the final day after posting similar scores in both rounds as the Cru women took fifth place at the Westbrook Village Invitational Sunday in Arizona.

The Cru fired a 320-322=642 team total to claim fifth place overall. Tournament host George Fox University won the team title after posting a 300-290=590 team score. Pomona-Pitzer took second place after shooting 308-303=611 and U.T.-Tyler claimed third place by recording a 310-310=620 total. Trinity University shot 331-307=638 to move into fourth place and finish four strokes ahead of UMHB. An eight team field competed in the tournament.

Cassidy Rawls posted a top ten finish or the Cru. Rawls tied for tenth place after shooting 77-77=154. McKenna Ralston carded a 78-78=156 to tie for 17th place and Emily Ming took 20th place with a 79-80=159. Annie Hasselbach fired an 86-87=173 to finish in 39th place abd Casey Washmon finished 44th after recording a 104-99=203 total. Caroline Ordian of Redlands won individual medalist honors after shooting 72-71=143.

The two-day, 36-hole event was played on a par-71, 5,953-yard layout on the Lakes Course at Westbrook Village Golf Club in Peoria, Arizona. The Cru women will now return to action with the Concordia University Invitational. That tournament will be played March 26-27th at Avery Ranch Golf Club in Austin.
