Bus fire delays traffic on Interstate 35

Temple firefighters responded to a reported bus fire on Interstate 35 on Monday.

Firefighters arrived at Exit #305 on south bound Interstate 35, just north of Berger/Hart Road. They found the rear tires and rear interior of a charter bus on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished. 

The bus driver and eleven passengers safely exited the bus, with no injuries reported. The bus company sent another bus to transport the passengers. 

Troy, Temple Police and the Troy Fire Department responded to the fire. The Troy Fire Department responded with two units and seven personnel. Temple Fire responded with two units and six personnel. 

The incident site has since been cleared, and area traffic returned to normal.
