Former Moody coach’s future in hands of school board

News

The Frankston school board in East Texas will decide whether to let go their head football coach and athletic director this Monday.

Kevin Chase is at the center of a lawsuit brought by former Moody High School quarterback Steven Davis and his family. They say Chase was negligent after Davis was injured during football practice in 2016.

As players flipped tractor tires up a hill and rolled them back down, one hit Davis. It broke his jaw, several teeth and caused a deep cut on his tongue.

Chase’s attorney is trying to get the case dismissed.
