After a catastrophic storm hit the town of Franklin only three days ago, another system of bad weather is on the way.
Residents are hurrying to get some repairs done before more the rain moves in.
A roofing company was volunteering their work on Tuesday. They are hoping to put down tarps before another storm can damage the house.
The storm expected to move through Wednesday could bring more rain, hail and even the possibility of tornadoes to Franklin again. An EF-3 tornado hit the area on Saturday and residents have hardly had time to pick up the pieces since then.
The Emergency Operations Center says everyone should have their power restored by now, but the town is still under a boil water notice. Free water and ice can be collected from the Community Center.
The main concern right now is that everyone has a roof over their head for Wednesday.
“We’ve got a lot of unsecured roofs, so we went around this morning and identified all those roofs and we have roofing companies and a lot of tarps. And they are installing all of these and making these buildings weather tight,” says Billy Huggins, of the Emergency Operations Center.
