Traffic flow on both I-14 ( Highway 190) and Clear Creek Road will be disrupted overnight Tuesday as work is done on a new turn around bridge.

TXDOT will temporarily close the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-14 from 7:00 p.m. Tuesday until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, weather permitting, to allow a contractor to pour concrete for the deck of the new westbound to eastbound turnaround bridge that will span the main laines of I-14 and the eastbound exit ramp to Clear Creek Road.

Eastbound and westbound traffic on I-14 will be diverted to the frontage roads.

Both northbound and southbound traffic on Clear Creek Road will also be diverted to the frontage roads at the bridge.

Traffic control will be handled by flaggers and law enforcement during the pouring operation.

The roadway reconfiguration project began in August 2018 and is scheduled for completion in late summer 2019 if the weather allows.

TXDOT urges motorists to reduce their speed when approaching the work zone, seek an alternate route if possible, and to be cautious and on watch for construction personnel and equipment in the area.
