BELLMEAD, TX - Bellmead police report two men have now been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a woman at a local hotel.
Police began their investigation back on February 13 when the got a call at 1:27 p.m. about the assualts at the hotel in the 700 block of North IH 35.
The officers spoke with a 25-year-old female victim who said the two men assaulted her during the same incident at that location.
She told officers that she had been in another room with her husband and two other men when her husband left for a time, after which the two men assaulted her.
Police say they were able to identify the assailants as 44-year-old Mark Lipscomb of Omaha, Texas and 39-year-old Aundre Walker of New Boston, Texas.
Arrest warrants were obtained for the two men and with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal's Service, Lipscomb was arrested Tuesday and Walker arrested Wednesday.
Both were booked into the McLennan County Jail.
Both posted $25,000 bond and were released Wednesday.
