73-year-old arrested in Bryan shooting

Bryan police report a 73-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a Sunday afternoon shooting at a neighborhood bar.

Bond was set at $30,000 for Charles Bennett Dunn who was arrested late Sunday afternoon on a charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

Police got the call at 3:45 p.m. Sunday when a gunshot victim was brought to Bryan Fire Station Number 1.

The 55-year-old victim told police he knew his assailant and that it had happened at a place called The Green Hornet at 704 San Jacinto Avenue.

Police made contact with Dunn and took him into custody without further incident.
