WACO, Texas - The Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Waco is on a mission.
They are planning a barbecue for the families of McLennan County Jail inmates on Saturday.
The feast will take place at the Shepperd Mullens Visitation Center, and law enforcement is invited to join in.
"We are interested in bringing people together and demonstrating respect and care for those who are overlooked, and those are two communities that don't often get along," says Matthew Anderson, of the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.
This is the first time the church members are organizing this kind of event.
