Bell County Sheriff’s deputies arrest ten in prostitution sting

Bell County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested ten men in a prostitution sting involving a transsexual.

One person is identified as Waco Independent School District educator Tony Shelton. Two more are active duty soldiers – one is stationed in Fort Hood and the other is from Alaska. Six of them are retired military.

Most of these men are married, and some are repeat offenders.

Police also looking for escapee, who has been identified as a young Hispanic man. He is possibly armed and dangerous.

Shelton was fired by Waco ISD on Friday afternoon, and had been a tutor at G.W. Carver Middle School since January 2018.

Waco ISD Assistant Superintendent of Communications and Community Engagement Kyle DeBeer issued the following statement:

“As a district, we hold all of our employees to a high moral standard. When we learned of Mr. Shelton’s arrest, he was immediately terminated and is no longer a Waco ISD employee.”
