Bryan, Tx - The Brazos County Sheriff's Office reports new information has recently come to light in the disappearance of a man that had become a cold case, renewing interest in looking for new leads and putting the case back on the front burner.
Jerry Gayle Woodard was last seen by his family May 20, 1991 and sheriff's investigators are now once again asking for the public's help in trying to find out what happened to him.
Woodard's abandoned blue 1983 Buick Park Avenue was found near the end point of FM 2038 (Long Trussel Road) in eastern Brazos County May 22, 1991.
Woodard was 37 years old when he disappeared.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and tennis shoes.
A $1,000 reward is being offered by Brazos County Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved in Woodard's disappearance.
