Bret Crook sworn in as Woodway Public Safety chief

WOODWAY, TX - Bret Crook was officially sworn in as chief of the Woodway Public Safety Department on Wednesday.

Interim City Manager John Hatchell did the honors by saying, "Chief Crook is well prepared to assume this position. As the Assistant Chief, he was responsible for the development and training of the department's personnel and oversaw the daily operations of the department."

Crook holds a Bachelor of Science from Baylor, where he played football under Great Teaff.

He was Woodway's first K-9 officer in 1999, and he graduated from the FBI Academy in 1993.
