Killeen police report an arrest of a 42-year-old man in connection with a 2017 child injury case.

Jesse Rodriguez-Vicens was actually detained by the Provost Marshal’s Office on Fort Hood when they found that he was named in the outstanding arrest warrant.

They notified Killeen Police who came and got him.

The case goes back to May 18, 2017 when Killeen Police were contacted by a CPS investigator who was looking into a child who had turned up at a treatment facility with injuries.

Killeen police spokesperson Ofelia Miramontez said the investigation led to a home in the 3300 block of Dorothy Jane Drive.

Through the investigation it was determined that the two year old child had been thrown up in the air and was struck by the blades of a ceiling fan, then hit a bed, a bed frame and landed on the floor.

Police obtained the arrest warrant but apparently he was not found until Wednesday.
