Corsicana police seize drugs in candy

CORSICANA, TX - Corsicana police have arrested two Dallas residents after finding drug laced candy and marijuana brownies  along with other drugs in their car.

Saturday night a Corsicana police officer stopped a vehicle for running without headlights.

When the officer walked up to the car, he noticed a strong odor of marijuana.

The occupants were asked to get out of the vehicle, and based on probably cause, a search was conducted of the vehicle.

During the search, officers located over 11 ounces of raw marijuana,  119 candy suckers containing THC weighing over 4-1/2 pounds, 17 marijuana brownies, 16 baggies of cocaine weighing 7.9 grams, digital scales,  21 doses of LSD, numerous containers of THC oils, psilocybin mushrooms weighing about 67 grams and over 8.8 pounds of chocolate covered psilocybin mushrooms.

Arrested were Jamie Lynn Carter and Porsche Diamond Moore,  both of Dallas.

Both were transported to the Navarro County Jail on four charges each of manufacture or delivery of controlled substance, possession of marijuana and and possession of dangerous drugs.

The driver of the car was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon because of a large club found in the car.

The 2015 model passenger car was also seized subject of asset forfeiture.
