Door kicked in, bottle smashed on head, one arrested

TEMPLE, TX - One man went to the hospital and another man went to jail following a Saturday afternoon disturbance in Temple.

Temple police say James Kinsley had already been banned from the location the day before and now faces multiple charges.

Police were called to the 2400 block of Paul Rever about 1:30 p.m. Saturday and found the door to the home had been kicked into gain entry and a man inside had been assaulted.

At one point during the attack, a bottle had been broken on the victim's head.

The victim was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital.

As Kinsley was being taken into custody, he complained of shortness of breath and said he wanted to go to the hospital, too.

He was taken to the hospital, but an officer rode in the ambulance with him and after he was checked out he was transported to the Bell County Jail.
