Double murder suspect arrested in Killeen

KILLEEN, TX - A teen wanted in connection with a double murder and home invasion in Corpus Christi has been arrested in Killeen.

Eighteen-year-old Trebor Campbell Wheeler was picked up by Killeen Police and members of the US Marshals Service Lone Stare Fugitive Task Force about 9:00 a.m. Wednesday in the 5400 block of Barkey Court.

He was picked up by deputies from the Nueces County Sheriff's Office Thursday.

Wheeler had been sought in connection with an April 2 home invasion in Corpus Christi that left 38-year-old Miriam Lopez and 39-year-old Arturo Mario Lopez dead.

The arrest warrant specified two counts of aggravated robbery and capital murder.

Jail records indicate he had an address in Corpus Christi and his connection to Killeen was not clear.
