Ft Hood soldier killed in crash ID’ed

Fort Hood officials say it was a 21-year-old Caney, Kansas soldier who died from injuries he received when a tactical vehicle rolled over.

Private First Class Jacob Ryan Casebolt had been assigned to the 9th Cavalry regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.

The accident occurred November 8 near Elijah Road and Antelope Road and remains under investigation by the Fort Hood Directorate of Emergency Services.

PFC Casebolt had entered the Army in January 2017 as a food service specialist and had been at Fort Hood since July 2017.
