WACO, Texas - It's time to make sure you check your skin for any signs of cancer.
The month of May is known as Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and May 7 is deemed "Melanoma Monday."
The name is meant to highlight the need to check your body for any odd-shaped moles or other forms of skin cancer.
The American Academy of Dermatology says this designation is a good way to raise awareness of the disease, and Baylor Scott and White is doing free cancer screenings tonight.
No appointment is needed, though they do suggest if your last name starts with the letter A-M to go up until 6:15 p.m. and letters N-Z to go up until 7:00 p.m.
