Hamilton Co meth bust nets two

HICO, TX - The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office reports an ongoing multi-agency operation aimed at doing away with drug sources in the northern part of the county has resulted in two arrests and the seizure of what was described as a large amount of methamphetamine.

During the operation, deputies and Hico Police obtained information regarding a man who might have a quantity of meth. When they spotted him, he led them on a short chase on Highway 6 east of Hico.

When officers stopped him, he was taken into custody on charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

Investigators then executed a search warrant at Howell's home at 413 North Railroad Street in Hico.

Deputies say other narcotics were located in a bedroom shared by Howell and his girlfriend, Teresa Singleton, who was then arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
