A Bell County High School student is accused of body slamming a teacher.

The Killeen school district says Sir Josiah Vaughn assaulted the teacher at Gateway High School and police arrested him on Tuesday.

The teacher said he was attempting to break up two students in his classroom who were having a verbal argument. The teacher said Vaughn picked him up and slammed him to the floor, causing him to land on his back.

The teacher has reported injuries to his head, thigh and back.

Vaughn is currently in the Bell County Jail with a bond set at $100,000.
