A 27-year-old Bryan man with a lengthy history of previous arrests has been charged with breaking into a home with the intent of assaulting those inside.
College Station police arrested Keannon Deshawn Harper about 3:00 a.m. Friday after being sent to a home in the 400 block of Wellborn Road on what was initially listed as a domestic disturbance.
When they got there, they learned that a man had arrived at the home uninvited to confront others who were possibly inside.
The man, later identified as Harper, was accused of yelling and beating on the door when the resident refused to let him inisde.
The man then broke a window and entered the residence to, by his own admission according to police on the scene, with the intent to commit assault.
The female resident of the home was able to get out and call police and was not injured.
Harper was arrested at the scene and taken to the Brazos County Jailon charges of burglary and resisting arrest.
Jail records indicated he had been booked into the same facility ten times dating back to 2014.
