BELLMEAD, TX - Fire Departments from three cities responded to a house fire in Bellmead Tuesday afternoon.
Bellmead first responded to the fire on Nicky Lane at 2:13 p.m.
Soon assistance came first from Lacy Lakeview, then from the Waco Fire Department.
Initial reports indicated one man was in the house at the time but he got out safely.
The fire broke out at the back of the house where most of the damage occurred.
The house was expected to be a total loss, though little damage was visible from the front.
The Red Cross was providing assistance to the displaced resident.
Cause of the fire remained under investigation Tuesday afternoon, though firefighters said an elderly man was trying to bar b que.
