Massive turnout forces Build-A-Bear to stop accepting guests

Wait in Waco is more than five hours

WACO, Texas - Massive turnout at Build-A-Bear stores across America forced the retailer to tell stores to stop letting people get in line.  The company is citing safety and security issues.

A viewer sent us video and pictures of the crowd inside Waco's Richland Mall.  Hundreds of children and parents can be seen in the line that twists through at least half of the mall.

Some people were told the wait was at least five hours long.

The company says the Pay Your Age Day event is their biggest ever and is valid for today in-store only.
