McLennan Community College head softball coach Manny Ordones is under investigation and has been placed on administrative leave.
This comes at a pivotal point in the season, after McLennan finished up their regular season last week.
The Highlassies will begin their conference tournament in McKinney on Friday, and are trying to punch their ticket to the Junior College World Series.
Ordones has been the head softball coach at McLennan for 15 years. In this time he has led them to two conference titles, four regional titles and four national tournaments.
Prior to this, he spent two years as an assistant for McLennan Baseball and spent 18 years as the head baseball coach at Waco Connally. FOX44 spoke with the school and they said they could not comment further at this time.
They did say Ordones will not be with the team for the remainder of this season while the investigation unfolds.
