Tattoo parlors see big Friday the 13th crowds

WACO, Texas - Today is Friday the 13th, and something a lot of people take advantage of on this superstitious day is tattoos.

Waco tattoo artist Crash Zebrig says the special tattoos were started by a shop in Dallas called Elm Street Tattoo several years ago. Waco's Texas Demographics Tattoo Studio opened their doors at noon on Friday with a line of people waiting to get inked. The wait definitely did not keep the customers away.

"It's tradition. Everybody does it. Everybody tries to do it," Zebrig says.

The shop says they had over 100 people get Friday the 13th tattoos last October, so they were expecting it to be just as busy today.
