WACO, Texas - The reward for one of the most wanted sex offenders in the state of Texas has been increased to $8,000 if he is captured during the month of April.
In addition to this offer from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Waco Crime Stoppers will also be offering a reward for the arrest of 51-year-old Monroe Hernandez.
Hernandez is wanted for parole violation and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. His last known address was in Waco, and he has ties to the area.
Hernandez has been wanted ever since September 2014, and his criminal history includes a conviction for sexual assault in McLennan County in 1993. He is 5'5" and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He has tattoos on his chest, left hand and both legs. He may be using an alias.
