Rollover near Groesbeck kills 1, hurts 4

A 16-year-old boy from Pleasanton was killed and four other teens were injured when rolled over on a rural Limestone County road early Wednesday morning.

DPS spokesman Dave Roberts says they were all occupants of a 1999 Chevy Blazer about 2:00 a.m. Tuesday when the driver lost control in a curve on Limestone County Road 398 about two miles west of Groesbeck.

The deceased victim was  a passenger and was not wearing a seatbelt.

He was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was a 17-year-old man from Mexia.

The other injured passengers were two 15-year-old males from Groesbeck and a 16-year-old female also from Groesbeck.

The driver and surviving passengers were all taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest in Waco for non-incapacitating injuries,

The crash remained under investigation Wednesday afternoon.
