TEMPLE, TX - Temple police report the front glass of a business was smashed to gain entrance in a smash and grab burglary early Tuesday morning.
Police responded to an alarm call at Tobacco Junction at 1218 South 1st street at 3:31 a.m. Tuesday.
Thieves were gone when officers arrived, apparently making a quick job of smashing out the front window of the building, then loading a large quantity of cigarette cartons and fleeing the area.
In addition to the loss in merchandise, the business owner is out the money to repair the building.
