Two Bryan High School juveniles arrested for assault

The School Resource Officer on duty at Bryan High School arrested two 14-year-old juveniles for assault on Friday afternoon.

Fireworks were set off in the courtyard between Blue and Silver Campuses, and some debris from the fireworks struck a 14-year-old boy walking in the area, causing minor injuries.

The victim was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital, where he was treated and released. School officials and the School Resource Officer were able to immediately identify the suspects involved.

They were both taken to the Juvenile Justice Center, where they were charged with Assault Causes Bodily Injury – a class A misdemeanor.
