Two stores in Temple robbed overnight
TEMPLE, TX - Clerks in two separate Temple convenience stores found themselves staring at handguns Thursday night as men entered and demanded money.
Temple police say they cannot speculate that the two robberies are connected but noted that the descriptions are very similar.
The first robbery was reported at 9:57 p.m. at the 7-11 store at 4315 West Adams.
The clerk told officers that a man wearing a covering over his face ans wearing a red or orange hoodie and black sweatpants with a white drawstring entered the store with a handgun and demanded the money.
He was described as being 5 feet, 10-inches tall and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.
The second robbery was reported at 10:50 p.m. at the Valero convenience store at 1601 East Adams.
That robbery was also described as a black male wearing a covering over his face with red or orange hoodie and black sweatpants with a white drawstring.
He was also wearing what appeared to be red, white, and blue Nike-air foamposite shoes.
Police are asking that anyone with information give them a call.
