The Killeen Municipal Court and the Killeen Police Department are focusing on clearing outstanding warrants through a warrant roundup.
The City of Killeen says anyone with a Killeen Municipal Court warrant should go to the court immediately to resolve citations and to avoid being arrested.
City marshals and police officers will be out in force making arrests during the roundup. To avoid being arrested at home, at work, at school or with friends, anyone with a warrant should clear it immediately.
The goal of the roundup is to clear outstanding City of Killeen Class C Misdemeanor warrants and to gain compliance in these cases. Many of the warrants are for traffic-related citations for which the violator failed to appear in court or comply with the judge’s orders.
