Water off at Liberty Hill Middle School in KISD

KILLEEN, TX - Students at Liberty Hill Middle School in the Killeen Independent School District were give bottled water Wednesday when water was turned off in their area of the city of Killeen.

Parents were notified in a message sent out at 11:52 a.m. as classes continued.

The statement issued by the district indicated that students needing to use the restroom were being escorted by Liberty Hill staff to the neighboring Cedar Valley elementary school facilities.

The statement said the district was aware of the situation and was providing support as needed.

Due to the continued situation with the city water lines, parents were further notified at 1:54 p.m. that all after school activities for the day had been cancelled and that Boys and Girls Club had also been cancelled.

Students were to be sent home at regular dismissal time of 3:40 p.m.  

It was also noted that classes were expected to resume as normal on Thursday.

Water service to the school was restored late Wednesday afternoon.
