What to expect at this year's Central Texas State Fair

BELTON, Texas - The 30th Annual Central Texas State Fair is Labor Day weekend and organizers are preparing for vendors and visitors.

"That's one thing about our fair, there's just something for everyone," said Tim Stephens, Bell County Expo Center Executive Director.

The fair comes to the Bell County Expo Center September 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Like previous years, the fair will feature an array of musicians like the Josh Abbott Band, Casey Donahew Band and Aaron Watson.

"It's different entertainers, we've got the Cowboys of Color. Even though we did it last year we put it on a more prominent night, Friday night," said Stephens.

Along with professional bull riders, Cowboys of Color Rodeo will be there to educate and entertain.

"Let us tell you the wonderful things that Blacks, Hispanics, Indians did for the west that history books left out.," said Cleo Hearn with Cowboys of Color Rodeo.

Lonestar Action Sports will bring you the ultimate BMX stunt show, Mark Riggs and the Troupe Thrill Show will bring along their 10 foot unicycle, and you can get hypnotized by Erick Kand.

"Pay $30 and see all three days. That's a great deal so there's some different things there that we're offering. It's a great value for the entertainment you get," said Stephens.

"It's a great community event, come on out, have a great time, sit around and listen to some music beneath a tent, so some shopping do some eating, there's all kinds of things to do while you're here," said Keith Smith, Central Texas State Fair Manager.

Admission is $10 for adults and children 12 and under get in for free.
